VILLA DESCRIPTION
The Sea Shanty is an intelligently designed, four bedroom luxury villa set in a uniquely lush and eco-friendly environment, only 100 metres from Jimbaran Beach. This villa presents tropical indoor / outdoor living at its best.

Jimbaran Bay is located in south Bali on the western coast, only 15 mins drive south of Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. The 4km long white sand beach stretches from the airport around to the “Bukit”, the area famous for the Uluwatu Temple and world class surf breaks. The beach is not only one of Bali’s best and safest, but also, thanks to the calmer waters in the bay, still the daily scene of a working fishing village, with colourful Jukungs (Outrigger boats) lining the sandy shores.

LIVING AREAS
The Sea Shanty features two dedicated living room areas.

The main living room on the ground floor enjoys a stunning modern-balinese high-pitched ceiling with two ceiling fans and 3 sides open to the beautiful, lush gardens to ensure you enjoy natural ventilation throughout the day. The design incorporates an open-plan kitchen with a seated bar area, an impressive 12 seater dining table, and a comfortable lounge area, ensuring the whole family can enjoy tropical indoor / outdoor living together in one comfortable and relaxed space.

The second living room is conveniently located upstairs, between the two bedrooms, with louvers on one side and sliding doors on the other, again ensuring optimum ventilation throughout the day. It features a Smart TV with a DVD player, a bookshelf, ceiling fan, and a large lounge for complete relaxation.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The villa has 4 bedrooms (2 upstairs & 2 downstairs), each with a lush indoor / outdoor private garden ensuite:

‘The Bali Room’ is the downstairs master bedroom featuring a super king size bed, a private outdoor bath and shower with a delightful natural indoor / outdoor bathroom, direct lawn access and a built in writing desk. This room brings together our favourite elements of Balinese lifestyle & culture.

‘The Canopy Room’ enjoys pleasant garden and neighbourhood views from upstairs with loads of natural airflow and sunlight. It features a super king size bed, a built in writing desk, a private sun deck and an oversized outdoor shower and large bathroom.

‘The Bunkhouse’ – the “kidzone” includes 2 beautifully made teak bunk beds and 2 (optional) inflatable mattresses (sleeping a total of 6 children). A large chalkboard wall will keep the kids entertained for hours and an outdoor bath and separate shower ensures the bathroom space is suitable for children of all ages.

‘The Library’ – this cool, airy downstairs room can be configured as a bedroom or a reading / TV room. With the option of 2 single beds, or one king size bed, or a large comfy day bed, this room is adaptable to meet all requirements. The main feature is the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf complete with a wall-mounted Smart TV with DVD player, stocked with good reading material and local antiques we have picked up in our travels around Bali.

All bedrooms have been designed with optimum climate control and comfort in mind. They can each be fully enclosed with individual air conditioning or the sliding doors can be opened to maximise natural ventilation.

POOL & GARDEN AREAS
The 15m x 4m swimming pool has been specifically designed for families with children of all ages. The kids wading pool is a great way for young ones to cool off in a safe environment, with plenty of pool toys provided to keep them entertained throughout the day.

There is an optional pool safety fence onsite, which the staff can install in 15 minutes. And the pool-side bale is close by for parents to relax with full view of the pool.

And of course, no outdoor entertainment area would be complete without a built-in outdoor gas BBQ with a sink and benchtop, for guests who take their barbeques seriously.
